Join the Community Spirit with our Scarecrow Contest!

When: During the month of October.

What: We are encouraging the community to participate in our scarecrow decorating contest to enhance the feeling of community during the Harvest Season!

Includes Social Media posting and Website Listing and Map Feature!
·We would love to see how your scarecrow is coming along, if you post on social media use the hash tag #Aptosharvestfestival #scarecrowsofaptos and tag us @aptoschamber

All participants will be listed on our website along with their location (if you out in to disclose your location)

Fees:
Residents:$10 minimum donation.
Businesses: $20 minimum donation

Once payment is received we will email you your participation information including judging number.

Judging: Participants will be added to our website and social media platforms for judging. Judging will start on October 1st and end at midnight on October 31st. PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER BY OCTOBER 23 TO BE INCLUDED IN JUDGING/SOCIAL MEDIA/WEBSITE LISTING. The community will vote for their favorite business decoration online.

Rules:
·Scarecrow must be visible to the public without having to enter your home/yard/business
MUST BE RATED PG
No political references
·Decorations must be ready to go by October 23rd for judging/social media/website listings

Voting
· The public will be choosing their favorite scarecrow starting on Oct. 23rd and at ending on Nov. 1st at 11:59pm online

Winner
There will be 2 winners 1 for Best Resident Scarecrow, 1 for Best Business/Organization Scarecrow

The winner will be announced on Monday, Nov. 2nd on our social media platforms and our website.
